Summer has officially started for us--today we attended our first library fun day for this year! Today we watched the librarian do some science experiments, and then the kids made their own. They are all gathered around checking out the way water in a cup makes the quarter at the bottom seem to rise up through the water. EJ was a volunteer, handing the lady this bottle of water. When she reached out for it, she squeezed a little and sent water spraying all over his shirt! There were holes in the bottle and the air pressure kept the water in. The second picture is her demonstrating how the pressure is lost when she takes the cap off. The other librarian passed out paper, q-tips, and little cups of lemon juice. Then the kids painted a secret message. To see the message, it needs heat. Lightbulbs are not hot enough, so she had an iron there. We didn't stay long enough for EJ to get his message ironed, but it's okay. He wrote to Daddy and wanted him to iron it, anyway.

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
