When it was over, we walked to the front of the room and gazed over the city. I took the flash off again, but it would have turned out worse with it on, trust me.
Tonight, my husband and I attended a pro-life banquet hosted by our local crisis pregnancy center, Her Choice. (They get a lot of people who come in looking for abortions because of that name--and then they give a free ultrasound and 60% end up choosing life!) Rebecca Kiessling was the guest speaker. She was great. You should click on her name and visit her website. This was our dessert. That's chocolate cake on the outside. My hubby ate mine. The inside was like frosting, though. It was yummy! I didn't want the flash on because I'm just like that. We asked one of our table-mates to take our picture, and I think it turned out rather well, what do you think??? I fixed the flash and she took another one, for those of you screaming at your screen right now: If you notice my plate, there are long skinny green things on them. Yep, that's just me, too. There were also these tiny round green things. I honestly have no idea what they were. But the chicken was good (whatever animal it actually came from, I'm not sure), and the sweet potato/pumpkin/squash thing was good too (each person at the table had a different theory what it was made from. I said apples, and this is why I'm never going to be on Hell's Kitchen). When it was over, we walked to the front of the room and gazed over the city. I took the flash off again, but it would have turned out worse with it on, trust me. All in all, a wonderful evening. Thanks to the inlaws for keeping EJ for a couple hours so we could enjoy this date. :-)

So glad you all could go!! The dessert looks amazing--and I'm sure I would have enjoyed all the green things you left on your plate. Glad you enjoyed your "chicken"--that just made me laugh out loud!! So thankful for Rebecca's testimony, and I'm thankful you all are involved in this wonderful ministry!

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
