Trail life was SO FUN this week! EJ sat in rapt attention. The leader is drawing a constellation on the board to illustrate their project. He had a clean, empty can. First he drew the constellation on the bottom lid, then using a hammer and a gigantic nail, each boy poked a hole in the can. We went to a dark room where he put a flashlight inside the can and put the constellation on the wall! EJ sat with that expression for like, a whole minute! The leader is explaining the rules for their game. Each bucket has eight "moon rocks" (crumpled pieces of paper). Since moon rocks are way to cold to touch, each team gets a pair of tongs to pick up the rocks and bring them back to the bucket. EJ was the only one cheering! His team won both times. Then they were told to come up with three ways they could have done better. The other team came up with good ideas, but I think since EJ's team won, they had a hard time visualizing better. They did say that they could hang a rope from the ceiling and swing on it, catching up all the moon rocks in one sweep!

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
