His thoughts are fictional, but each event really happened. I've changed names to protect to guilty, I mean, the innocent. :-) (Actually, EJ picked out the fake names.) But I have no idea if he actually thought any of this.
Party Day at School
I sure hope Annie likes my note. Maybe if I put another piece of red on here…How do I hold these scissors again? Oh yeah, I remember. Thumb goes in the little hole.
That was so funny last week when John got his fingers all gluey and they got stuck in his scissors! He had to wash for so long that he almost missed recess.
I wonder if we’ll be able to have another recess today. No one has gotten in trouble yet except for Jack, but I don’t think he counts ‘cause he’s still in K-4.
I am so glad I’m not in K-4 this year, and I especially can’t wait until next year when I get to be in first grade. I wonder if I can learn cursive in first grade. Josh says we will. Course, he said too that we’ll still have nap time, but Mary said just this morning that they don’t have nap time in first grade.
That’s so funny then that she brought her pillow today for show and tell when they don’t even have a nap time! I like field trips the best ‘cause nap time happens on the bus and I can just stare out the window instead of sleeping on my mat.
My mat is so swishy that I don’t ever want to stop playing on it. I wish I had a mat like Martha’s. Hers looks so warm and snuggly, just like my clouds blankie.
Hmm, did I bring my clouds blankie today? Oh, nope, I remember ‘cause Amanda is sleeping with it when I left my room this morning.
I wonder if she woke up yet. Maybe she will read those books I put on my bed for Princess.
That was really nice of Mrs. Davis to get me that blue bear. I hope next time I go to her house to help her and Mommy peel beans that she will get me a stuffed cat. I need a cat.
Oh look! I just drew a cat on my card! I better give this to Annie before there’s not room on it for anything else.
“Annie!”
