But I won't. Not today. :-) Today, I will simply share pictures and a few thoughts about a new necklace I recently acquired.
This post could very easily be an in-depth look at how motherhood is alike and dissimilar in various cultures. I have witnessed firsthand what motherhood looks like in four different countries, and I could expound in great detail upon the remarkable way the maternal instinct kicks in across the globe. But I won't. Not today. :-) Today, I will simply share pictures and a few thoughts about a new necklace I recently acquired. I don't know all the languages on here. I know English, Spanish, French, don't know the next four (German? Dutch? Russian? Swedish?) , and Japanese is in the center. I told my little kid what "mom" is in Japanese, and he thought it was the funniest thing! In normal situations, you would call your mom "Okaasan", but the kanji here is "Haha", which is the more formal term. They seriously did not want the necklace to be damaged or get wet at all. The necklace was in the smallest bag, which was inside the next bag, which was in the box, which was in the next bag, which was in the envelope. Overkill, maybe. But the necklace is so pretty! I bought this for myself, which felt a little weird at first, because what mom buys herself a mom necklace? But I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas, and I had a bunch of $5 gift cards from swagbucks, so I ordered other stuff too to get free shipping! I love my new necklace!

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
