So I took this Bible and decided to underline important phrases, and several times a month I would go through with the Bible and write questions based on what I had underlined. For a while, I just used black ink.
For January and February's devotionals, I read the Bible on my computer using Power Bible. Every day, I would read the chapter and click back and forth to Word writing up the questions. For March, I had an idea. We have so many Bibles in our house, and one of them has someone's name in it that I don't even know. I think my husband said that a bus kid left it at church one day when he was in high school and she never came back, so he brought it home and it's been ours ever since (ever since the late 90s!). So I took this Bible and decided to underline important phrases, and several times a month I would go through with the Bible and write questions based on what I had underlined. For a while, I just used black ink. But then I realized that I have a four-colors-in-one pen! I could use the different colors to differentiate the different ideas and questions (did I say different enough?!). You know how Psalms is, sometimes having 4 verses and sometimes having 84, so some days look like this: And some days look like this: I am also glad my son is previewing it for me, because he's caught several mistakes already: This month I didn't feel like writing the entire date out at the top, so I just put the day's number in the corner: I definitely find it interesting that every month I seem to do things a little differently. Maybe by the time we make it through the entire Bible, I'll know what I'm doing! But probably not, because by then EJ will be older and I'll have to do the questions entirely differently. Such is life, growth and change. Embrace it or go crazy!

I love your devotionals for the kiddos! You might want to donate those extra Bibles

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
