EJ is a planner. He likes to know what's going to happen, when. When his day doesn't go as planned, he's pretty good at rolling with the punches. That's one reason I was struck so hard one day when I went into his room and actually noticed his walls. (The drawing is the shape of the animals' bowls.) The list of names is from when we do devotions. EJ will draw a name for each of us to pray for, but when daddy falls asleep before we get that far, EJ will write down the name so we can pray for that person the next night. Something he's studying right now and wants to remember. Every one of these has to do with Minecraft. He also finds posters and puts them up. Don't ask how he got that one all the way up there. He found this poster in a book the other day and just decided to put it up. He's gonna want a huge room in our next house, but not for the floor space. Here is his collection of stickers. He's very proud of these. Even his door isn't safe. My favorite is this one. It normally starts with "where are dinosaurs mentioned?" and off he goes in his research. He's got his regular Bible, a concordance, a dictionary, a Bible dictionary, and a study Bible with cross references. Many times he will listen to a sermon while he researches. He just got a package of colored sticky notes--the really skinny ones so he can keep multiple places in a book. I don't know how many times I have gone in to snuggle and he's got all ten fingers holding spots so he can show me something funny!

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
