Alabama (red and white--bananas and strawberries with whipped cream on top)
February: Pink marshmallows dipped in white chocolate rolled in red sprinkles. Football: Auburn (orange and blue--purple grapes that are super sweet) Alabama (red and white--bananas and strawberries with whipped cream on top) Boring vegetable kabobs. I didn't set them up in a bucket but I probably could have. I think they would have looked neater that way. Cheese, lunchmeat, tomato, pickle, parsley, and a baby carrot. Flowers: my very first attempt: The bucket was very small and the fruit kept tipping over. I got a bigger, sturdier bucket and tried again: It was a hit and I was asked to make all the other kabobs you already saw! They are fun and good as a creative outlet. The only problem is they stand so tall, so as people make their way through the line, they barely see the fruit in their peripheral vision and assume it is part of the decorations. If I ever make any more, I think I will make a paper sign and put it on the table in front of the bucket that has an arrow and says "Eat this fruit".

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
