So finally, I just decided to make it one!
The other day at the thrift store, I found this awesome shirt. It was a men's shirt, and although I knew there was no way my husband would ever wear a shirt that had something that looked like a necklace on it, I bought it anyway. Since he wouldn't wear it, and it's so close to Christmas, I tried to think of a man I could give it to. But every time I thought about it, all I could think was, "I wish it were a girl shirt so I could wear it!" So finally, I just decided to make it one! I turned it inside out and pinned it all along the sides and sleeves. When I turned it right side out, it looked funny, so I pulled out one of my other t-shirts and used it as a guide to reposition my pins. Then I sewed it. Since I don't have a serger (to make the fancy hem stitch) I just sewed straight, sewed crooked next to it, and sewed straight on the crooks. Then I cut off the extra. Voila! A girl's shirt!

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
