I got this book a couple weeks ago from the free bins outside of 2nd and Charles (a local bookstore). It's a college textbook with the price $65.00 stamped on the first page. (And I got it for free!) It's a large book, over 700 pages. With the title "Writing as Drama," I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Will it tell me how to write sad, heart-string tugging stories? Or was it referring more to theater drama? Well, neither. I started reading it last night, and the drama it's referring to is more of a real life, break-the-rules style of writing. You know, fragments and run-on sentences. Misplaced commas and apostrophes (which I hope I don't do). Actually, the definition of the word "drama" wasn't the point of continuing to read after page one, although I did enjoy the validation of hearing I was supposed to break the syntax rules.

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
