When I went to college, my sophomore year, I got my first real taste of what an April Fool's joke feels like. To give you some background, let me tell you a different story first. This story takes place when I was four or five. My mom was visiting a friend, and her friend had a little boy about my age. We played outside for a while, then we came in and watched a movie. I had never seen Bambi before, and for some reason my mom thought I was emotionally mature enough to watch poor little Bambi's mom get killed. Well, I wasn't.
Today is April Fool's Day. Growing up, we didn't really participate in this "holiday", if you will, mainly because we were very uncreative when it came to pulling pranks on each other. I think my parents were probably very glad of that fact; we were at each other's throats most of the year, why do horrible things to one another on purpose?

Who am I, you ask?
In 2006 I had a stroke, and every day my husband encourages me to use my remaining brain cells to the best of my ability. I love to organize, make crafts, and go on adventures (safe ones). I hope that through my blog posts, you will be encouraged to accept and make the best of challenges God throws at your life. Categories
