Sunday for lunch we went out to eat with a family from church. Nothing fancy, just Wendy's. But it was special because they paid! Happy birthday to me!
Monday was Labor Day, so that meant no school and no work. I'm so glad we live close to family. It's like having built in babysitters (whom we try really hard not to take advantage of). Back in May I got this living socials deal for mini golf and batting cages. Each time we want to go it rains. Well, it wasn't raining Monday morning, so we dropped the kid off with the grandparents and company and headed off for a sushi lunch and mini golf afternoon.
They're closed on Mondays.
So...I got a Michael's gift card from a friend on Sunday, so my wonderful husband took me craft shopping instead. Yay! I love shopping with a gift card. I can get stuff I wouldn't normally buy. Like all this stuff:
The sky was getting darker, but we still had time to kill, so we went to a local park and started walking around a lake. We got about a third of the way around when it started raining, so we ducked under a tiny little gazebo and had a nice chat while it rained.
